MEEC is proud to sponsor its fifth MEEC “Teacher of the Year” Awards. Three winners will be selected to receive this prestigious honor; one first place winner, who will receive $300 in cash and a plaque, and two MEEC “Teachers of Excellence” recipients, who will each receive $100 in cash and plaques.
Sustainability and greening have become buzz words for strategies we must adapt to ensure that planet Earth will continue to have the qualities necessary to support human life. Unfortunately, some issues have become stumbling blocks on the road to sustainability. In this four week course, we will examine a number of them including nuclear energy, cities, genetically-engineered crops, and ocean aquaculture.

The Richard C. Bartlett Environmental Education Award is awarded annually to an outstanding educator who has successfully integrated environmental education into his or her daily education programs. The award is given to an educator who can serve as an inspiration and model for others.
