This one day, 3-hour event draws over 2,500 high school students from the Antelope Valley and is held annually at Edwards Air Force Base, located in the city of Palmdale during the month of September. Rio Tinto Minerals – Borax offers a Transportation Grant for public schools to go out to the Visitor Center at Boron. They will reimburse schools up to $350 per school per year toward transportation costs.
