Environmental Club Mini-Grants Available!
MEEC is offering “Greenback” seed money to students throughout the High Desert for the purpose of encouraging students to launch environmental service learning projects on campus and within their communities.
This year, MEEC is providing ten $150.00 Environmental Club Mini Grants to students who wish to start a school environmental club. One grant will be awarded per school, and dispersed on a first-come, first-served basis. It is one of MEEC’s long term goals to see environmental clubs established on every campus within the High Desert.
To apply for grant funds, applicants should compose a brief letter containing the following information: The name of the club; the club’s mission statement; a brief description of an environmental project the club is considering undertaking; a list of club officers and members (lead positions filled by students) along with their contact information; club advisor’s name and contact information (mailing address & phone number).
