Winners of the Mojave Desert & Mountain Recycling's essay contest 'Paper or Plastic: There is Another Choice' were honored at a recent board meeting and given a brief tour of the Recycling Center in Victorville.

Students, teachers and their families gathered at Mitsubishi Cement to celebrate winners of the 'Build It Enviro-Friendly' essay contest. Mitsubishi Cement Corporation was the sponsor.
Teacher Trio - AIRE Awards

2007 Teacher & Students of the Year
3 teachers and 4 students throughout the High Desert and Antelope Valley were honored in April, as MEEC's 2007 Teacher's & Students of the year for their outstanding commitments and efforts towards promoting EE.
MEEC Participates in Dr. Seuss Day!
MEEC Program Specialist Aaron Walker was invited to be one of the readers for Dr. Seuss Day at Victoria Magathan Elementary School in Adelanto. The selected book was 'The Lorax.'
MEEC 2008 Teacher / Student of the Year Banquet
MEEC Sponsors, teachers, students and their parents gathered on April 17th at the Spring Valley Lake Country Club to recognize the Teacher of the Year, two Teachers of Excellence and four Students of the Year.
