Partnership Program
Our Partnership Program
MEEC is the High Desert zone of the California Regional Environmental Education Community (CREEC), a statewide project of California’s Department of Education. MEEC is a non-profit, public-private partnership dedicated to linking High Desert educators with high quality environmental education resources, free of charge, to help them meet and exceed state educational standards.
MEEC is 100% funded through the contributions of its Partners, and all funds are used to provide EE services to teachers and students throughout the Mojave Desert.
Our teacher membership has skyrocketed and MEEC flourishes year after year. MEEC provides:
- Free teacher and student workshops,
- Two Teacher Resource Libraries, with one in Victorville and the other in the Antelope Valley,
- Essay contests to educate and motivate students,
- Free EE curriculum,
- Environmental field trip transportation grants,
- An Annual Youth Environmental Leadership Conference,
- Educator and Student scholarships and much more!
MEEC depends on the continued support of its Partners to continue to develop and enrich MEEC programs. All donations are tax deductible.
MEEC’s Partners are the wind beneath its wings!
