Students Helping the Environment Through STEM/SLP
YELC prepare teams of students to become leaders when they identify a community need then work together to create and implement a Service Learning Project to fulfill that need.
Are there recycling bins on campus? Might your school benefit from an energy audit? The money saved could pay for much needed school supplies. Could your concrete campus use a few trees or a low water garden? What about low water landscaping or a community park?
Student clubs, teams, even a group of friends can create a project to better their environment!
