Youth Backcountry Camp

May 19th, 2009

High school students spend 3 days in the backcountry!

This summer, the Tahoe Rim Trail Association in partnership with Sierra Nevada Journeys will be offering four sessions of our three-day, two-night Youth Backcountry Camps. These camps are intended to engage high school youth in a true wilderness experience and a service learning project on the Tahoe Rim Trail.

While at camp, students can expect to learn about wilderness education, trail operations and maintenance, survival skills, and Leave No Trace outdoor ethics, all while camping in the backcountry in a life-changing outdoor program.
